Co-Founder/Chief Academic Officer
Offering more than 25 years of vast experience in the field of education, Wendy Rydarowicz is currently the Co-Founder and Chief Academic Officer of The Educational Empowerment Group. Wendy has spent her professional career in education as a teacher and educational leader focused on inner city and at-risk populations. Wendy is integral team player who has the ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with parents, students, staff members, board members, sponsors and community organizations while working proactively and effectively for the common good of students. Wendy’s asset is her knowledge and commitment to provide effective charter school management options to new and existing charter school governing boards.
Wendy spent a great portion of her career with the largest charter school management company in Ohio. During her tenure, Wendy held positions of Vice President/Superintendent, Director of Curriculum and Instruction, and Principal. As the Vice President and Superintendent of the Academies, she had the responsibility for the leadership of fourteen schools including a budget in excess of $40 million. While serving in the role of Vice President/Superintendent of these fourteen public charter schools, she had enrollment of 4,600 urban at-risk students, and responsible for the supervision of 485 certified and classified staff. Along with this monumental task, she moved schools academic performance from Academic Emergency and Academic Watch to Continuous Improvement and Effective status on Ohio’s Local Report Card. In this role, she dramatically increased the schools' academic report card ratings across the organization.
